ThunkTime…

| November 30, 2009
Broke Down OK, it’s time for another one of these.  Here it comes – thinking dials up to full please and let me know your ideas!

Is a broken-down car parked?

The two key ideas are: broken-down and parked.  Think carefully about what the difference is between them and then make your mind up to answer the question yes, or no and give a good reason.

Enjoy it!

home learning – november 6th

| November 6, 2009
Damero III Can you see the rhombuses (or for the sharp-witted among you, is that rhombi)? in this photo?

I’d like you to have a look over the next week for the 3D (y5) and 2D (y6) shapes that we’ve looked at in maths last week. Take some photos of do a sketch to show where you find the shapes in the village and beyond.  They could be in all sorts of places…

You could make a powerpoint presentation or have a collection of sketches or photos as your outcome.

Y6: You should be looking for:  rhombuses), parallelogram, trapezia, and rectangles

Y5: You’re looking for prisms, pyramids, cones, cuboids and cylinders.

Come and ask if you’re not sure.

Have a good weekend!
