Tate Modern and The Globe
| February 26, 2010![]() |
We’re going to Tate Modern and The Globe next Friday.
We’ve looked at Shakespeare and heard the Macbeth story in class. What did you think of the characters? Get ready to act some parts on Friday…. In the gallery, we’re going to learn how to start making sense of modern art in a really cool gallery. It’s going to be fantastic. |
I’m looking around there this afternoon and finding the most interesting things for us to see next week. Callum tells me there’s a huge empty black box to explore inside and a room with a table and chairs that are simply huge. Sounds interesting! I’d like to you take a look at the tate kids website (the link is on the right) and find a piece of art that you get excited about. Be prepared to show and tell us about it in class next week.
If your parents are happy for you to do it, you could try making a soap sculpture by carving a block of white soap into an interesting shape. Use a lollipop stick, but nothing sharp!
