A great trip, now what..?
| March 7, 2010
Well, what a great trip we had on Friday. I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth the journey. I was really impressed by the way you all responded to the theatre and to the gallery – you seemed so open-minded, inquisitive and interested in all that you saw and heard.
Click on the picture to see the ideas that you came up with for work to build on the trip and let me know which you’d like to pursue in class or for homework.
So, two questions: what was the most surprising / most interesting thing about the day? what would you like to do in class to follow-up on the trip?
Let me know in the comments…

I would like to have a go at desing a exstention for tate modern
if not then desing a therter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#
my favorute thing was tate modern but i did like the glob
.
I thought the most interesting thing that I saw was probably the Globe theatre, I found the stage especially amazing. It was really massive and the detail was awsome. I was suprised how big it was in comparision to the rest of the theatre.
I would like to make a Shakesperean theatre or create my own modern art.
I think we should make a model of the extention of the tate modern and act abit of Macbeth and also writing about our trip.
I think it would be good to do the interview with Macbeth and Lady Macbeth because it would be interesting to find out about there side of the story.
I thought the Globe was really good. I really enjoyed doing the acting and learning about the history of the theatre. But the black box was cool as well.
For the assembly I wouldn’t mind doing any of the create options. I think we should do some acting out of Macbeth. From the writing options I want to do the write a story about a piece of art or write about and copy your favourite piece of art.
Hey Abbie, I enjoyed the globe, but I thought the Tate was more exciting because there was more to see, I thought the black box wasn’t as dark as it could be.
I liked the Tate modern the best because, I liked the art especially the campervan with sledges coming out of the back it was called the pack. For our assembly I would like it if we could design and make our own Tate modern and remember what your favourite piece of art is, then do an art work like what you saw.
Also I liked the Globe as Valentine took us on a tour around. I was Banquo when we were acting Macbeth. Liked the stage and how it was designed, I had great fun THANKS MR HEATH FOR TAKING US AND MRS WISE, ALL THE REST OF THE ADULTS WHO HELPED THANKS ONCE AGAIN.
I’m glad you all enjoyed it and are thinking about what we can do next. Let’s talk some more in class about it and plan an assembly to remember!
I would like to draw or somthing like that of the theatre and i really enjoyed the trip but mostly the tate because there was more things to do but the Globe theatre was good as well and my favorite bit about the Globe was acting and the interesting storys that valentine said to us. But saying that i think that was the only things that we did in the Globe theare. But most of all i enjoyed the trip thats the main thing.
i think we should do some acting with the witches!! it would be really fun to do some acting in groups and do some acting excercises!!!!
my fav part of the trip was the globe becuase… it was amazing , all the detail inside the real thing was absaloutly stunning. the tate gallery was alright but some of the art was a bit pointless e.g sheep hair hanging on a rack, twigs one on top of the other. so you see my point but i still really enjoyed it!!!!
i had fun on the coach to!! we had a great time and had a laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bye!! xx
